A good alternative is a coaching platform where automated client messages are part of the plan instead of a separate add-on. Everfit sells Autoflow as a paid add-on, listed from $29 a month for 30 clients. In Trainera, Automations are included on every paid trainer plan, and the plan decides how many run at once. That does not make Everfit a bad choice. It has a free plan for 5 clients and a product that keeps moving, and many coaches are happy there. Below: what Autoflow is and what it costs, who should stay on Everfit, and what changes if you move. ## What Everfit Autoflow is and what it costs Autoflow is Everfit's automation add-on: the part of the product that sends messages and tasks to clients on a schedule so you do not have to do it by hand. It is billed separately from the base Everfit subscription. The published prices we read on Everfit's official pages in late September 2026: * Autoflow add-on: from $29 a month for 30 clients * Meal plans add-on: from $39 a month * Payments add-on: from $9 a month * Free plan for up to 5 clients, Pro from $19 a month The word "from" does a lot of work here. The Autoflow price is quoted for 30 clients, and the base plan comes on top of it. If you coach more people or need meal plans and payments too, your real bill is a sum of several lines. Trainera's Free plan covers 3 and has no automations, so for a very small roster Everfit costs less. * **You do not need automation yet.** If you send a few check-in messages a week by hand and it takes ten minutes, the add-on question never comes up. * **Your clients are settled.** A move means a new app for every client and new habits for you. If retention is good and nobody complains, that disruption has a cost. * **You like where Everfit is going.** It is an actively developed product. If its roadmap matches your business, staying is a reasonable call. You start from a ready-made template or build a flow with If/Else branches, and every flow respects quiet hours, per-person limits and STOP replies. ### Automations included in the plan, with clear limits There is no separate automation add-on for trainers. Since 27 September 2026 Automations are on every paid trainer plan (before that they were on the top plan). The Free plan (3 clients) has no automations. One-off confirmations do not count as active automations, and if you downgrade, sequences above the new limit are paused, not deleted. Yearly billing is about 10 times the monthly price. ### Templates on every paid plan, the builder on Business On Starter and Pro you work from ready-made coaching templates: request auto-reply and welcome week, first workout and plan ready, missed workout and missed check-in, inactivity ladder, plan ending and renewal, overdue invoice, birthdays and streaks, review and referral requests. On Business and Enterprise the visual builder adds If/Else branches, waits (a set time, a date, or until an event such as a finished workout), coaching steps (assign a plan, a check-in, a habit or a questionnaire, add to a group) and team steps such as tasks and follow-ups. There are more than 70 triggers, and you can save custom triggers, for example a date field plus or minus a number of days. Email goes through your own SMTP or email provider, SMS through your own Twilio account, Viber through your own Viber Business account, and WhatsApp through your own WhatsApp Business number connected through Meta. If you do not want the Meta setup, WhatsApp assist prepares the message and you send it yourself with one tap. Trainera adds no per-message fee; your provider's own rates apply. ### Safety rules that are on before you touch anything * Quiet hours from 21:00 to 08:00 by default, editable, plus sending days. Replies to a message the client just sent go out right away. * At most 2 automated messages a day and 6 a week per person from one sender by default. * A marketing message waits if the person got one in the last 12 hours. * Soft-touch steps are skipped if you wrote to the client yourself in the last 24 hours. * STOP replies are honoured in chat, WhatsApp, SMS and Viber, and emails carry an unsubscribe link. * Optional approval before sending: never, marketing only, or every message. One-click pause and an emergency stop for the owner. An activity log shows every run with the reason a step was sent, skipped or delayed, and a daily digest arrives at 08:00. ### Community and languages in the same app From Pro up, clients get a private members-only feed next to their workouts and check-ins. Business adds challenges, weekly leaderboards, automatic posts (personal records, streaks, milestones) and scheduled posts. The app runs in 26 languages, including Arabic written right to left, which matters if you coach clients across countries. This post stays on the automation question on purpose. ## A worked example at 30 clients Thirty clients is where Autoflow's published price starts, so it is a fair place to compare. On Everfit you would pay for a plan that covers 30 clients, plus Autoflow from $29 a month, plus meal plans from $39 and payments from $9 if you use them. We are not adding those into one total, because the base plan price at 30 clients depends on the tier Everfit shows you on the day. On Trainera, Pro at $49.99 a month in the US covers 30 clients, 3 active automations, 200 automated messages a day and the community feed. If you want your own flows with If/Else branches, Business at $99 raises that to 75 clients and 10 active automations. Which one comes out cheaper depends on how many add-ons you actually use. A coach who only wants Autoflow and nothing else has a different sum than one who uses meal plans and payments as well. Do the maths with your own numbers. ## How to switch without losing a week 1. Before you cancel anything, write down every Autoflow sequence you run: what starts it, the wait times and the message text. Your wording is the part worth keeping. 2. Pick the two or three flows that matter most. Most coaches get the bulk of the value from the welcome, the missed check-in nudge and the plan-ending message. 3. Use the free migration offer on the [Switch to Trainera](/migration) page for your client data, then match each flow to a template. 4. For the first week, set approval to "every message". You see each automated message before it goes out and can fix tone or timing. 5. Tell clients about the new app in person or in a short message you write yourself, not in an automation.
