Gym Membership Prices in Dubai (2026): AED Guide
A Dubai gym membership costs from AED 99 a month at a budget 24/7 chain to AED 356 to 734 a month for multi-club tiers with pools, and boutique studios start around AED 840 a month for 8 classes. Here is what drives the price and how gyms can sell packages online.

How much does a gym membership cost in Dubai?
A gym membership in Dubai costs from AED 99 a month at a budget 24/7 chain such as GymNation to AED 356 to 734 a month for multi-club tiers with pools and recovery areas at The Warehouse Gym, based on prices listed on the gyms' own sites in October 2026. Boutique studios sit higher: Barry's in DIFC lists monthly memberships from AED 840 for 8 classes.
Prices change with promotions and commitment length, so treat everything below as a snapshot, checked on 11 October 2026. The second half of this post is for gym owners: what drives these prices and how to sell packages online.
Dubai gym prices by chain
The chains split into three bands: budget 24/7, multi-club mid to premium, and boutique class studios.
| Gym or tier | Listed price (AED) | What it includes | Source, checked Oct 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| GymNation | From 99 a month | No long-term commitment, 24/7 access, 400+ group classes, ladies-only areas | gymnation.com |
| The Warehouse Gym Standard | From 356 a month | 7 clubs, towel service | whgym.com |
| The Warehouse Gym Premium | From 430 a month | 15 clubs, Olympic pool, outdoor gym, steam room and sauna | whgym.com |
| The Warehouse Gym Premium+ | From 734 a month | Adds unlimited Reformer, CrossFit and HYROX, 4 guest passes, 4 recovery treatments | whgym.com |
| Barry's (DIFC) | 840 a month (8 classes) to 1,860 (30 classes) | Class-based boutique studio | thefitguide.com |
| Dubai Sports World | Free gym, summer only | Gym and 1 km indoor track at Dubai World Trade Centre, until 25 Aug 2026 | Khaleej Times |
Sources: GymNation Dubai gyms page, The Warehouse Gym membership page, The Fit Guide listing for Barry's DIFC and Khaleej Times on Dubai Sports World 2026. The Warehouse Gym's "from" prices are tied to longer commitments; its plans have a 3-month minimum and get cheaper per month over 6 and 12 months.
For chains that do not publish a clear price list, an aggregator review on ae-profile.com (22 July 2026) reports typical ranges on 12-month contracts: Fitness First AED 350 to 600 a month and UFC Gym AED 300 to 500. It calls its figures "indicative" and names no sources, so use them only as a rough guide and ask the gym for a quote.
Boutique class prices
Boutique studios sell classes, not open gym time, so compare them per class.
| Barry's DIFC option | Price (AED) | Per class (AED) |
|---|---|---|
| Intro class (first time) | 85 | 85 |
| Drop-in | 125 | 125 |
| 5-class pack | 605 | 121 |
| Monthly, 8 classes | 840 | 105 |
| Monthly, 30 classes | 1,860 | 62 |
Per-class figures are simple division. If you go twice a week, the 8-class membership is the closest fit; if you go most days, the larger plan halves the per-class cost.
What drives the price
Most of the gap between AED 99 and AED 734 comes from five things.
- How many clubs you can use. The Warehouse Gym's tiers go from 7 to 15 clubs as the price rises.
- Facilities. Pools, steam rooms, saunas and recovery treatments move a membership into the upper band.
- Commitment length. A 12-month plan costs less per month than a 3-month one. At The Warehouse Gym, the advertised "from" price is the long-commitment one, so ask for the month-to-month figure too.
- Classes. Budget chains include group classes; premium specialist classes such as Reformer or HYROX are often a separate tier.
- Fees around the price. The July 2026 aggregator lists joining fees of AED 0 to about 400 and freeze fees of AED 25 to 75 a month. Ask about both before you sign.
VAT is the sixth line on every bill. Gym memberships are standard-rated at 5% in the UAE, with no exemption for fitness found, per the Oncount accounting guide for UAE fitness businesses. Check whether a quote includes it.
Questions to ask before you sign
- Is the advertised price for a 12-month commitment, and what is the month-to-month price?
- Is there a joining fee, and is it waived this month?
- Can I freeze the membership when I travel in summer, and what does that cost?
- Is VAT included in the price?
- Which clubs and classes are included, and which cost extra?
- How do I cancel, and how much notice do I give?

For gym owners: how to price packages in Dubai
The listed prices above show how the market is segmented, and your price needs to sit clearly in one band.
- Budget band (about AED 99 to 200): you compete on access hours, locations and included classes. Few extras, low joining fees.
- Mid to premium band (about AED 350 to 750): you sell facilities, multi-club access and specialist classes. Tiers work well here, because members can see what the next step adds.
- Boutique (per class): you sell an experience and a schedule. Intro offers and class packs lower the barrier to a first visit.
What I see work is a next tier that is easy to understand. A table of three tiers with clear differences is easier to sell than a price list of nine near-identical options. Our guides on how to grow gym memberships and how to reduce gym member churn go further.
Plan for summer as well. Dubai Sports World ran its 16th edition in 2026 with a free gym at Dubai World Trade Centre until 25 August, and some members travel for weeks over the summer. A freeze option or a summer package gives them a reason to stay rather than cancel in June.
Opening a gym in Dubai also means a trade licence from the Department of Economy and Tourism or a free zone, plus Dubai Sports Council approval, which reviews staff qualifications; the DIAC guide to opening a gym in Dubai describes about 8 to 12 weeks for the process. Trainers on your floor are usually expected to hold REPs UAE registration, covered in the sibling post on the personal trainer license in Dubai.
How Dubai members pay
Cards and digital wallets are the default in the UAE, so online sign-up should take a card first.
| Payment method | Share of UAE e-commerce (2023) |
|---|---|
| Cards | 52% |
| E-wallets | 24% |
| Bank transfer | 11% |
| Cash | 7% |
| Other | 6% |
Figures from PPRO's UAE country profile (2023 data), which also puts Visa at 56% and Mastercard at 39% of card payments. Stripe accounts in the UAE accept Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link, per Stripe's UAE support page; no buy-now-pay-later method is listed there.
Search suggestions such as "gymnation tabby" show that members look for buy-now-pay-later on gym memberships. That is regulated by the Central Bank: fees, including late fees, are capped at 30% of the credit and terms run at most 12 months. A gym that wants to offer it signs up with the provider directly.
Cash and bank transfer still matter at reception, especially for annual memberships paid in one go. Record those payments against the member so your numbers are complete.
Where Trainera fits for Dubai gyms
Trainera lets a gym create membership packages with its own price, currency and billing cycle, priced in AED, and sell them online by card through the gym's own Stripe account with 0% Trainera platform fee. Stripe's processing fee is billed by Stripe to the gym.
- Each online package purchase is a one-off card payment per package. Trainera does not auto-charge members every month.
- Payments taken at reception, by cash or bank transfer, are recorded in Trainera.
- No buy-now-pay-later. A gym that wants Tabby or Tamara runs it through that provider and records the membership in Trainera.
- Members cannot cancel a membership inside the app; your cancellation process stays your own.
- Digital member card with QR check-in, plus manual check-in from the gym overview.
- Leads CRM with a 7-stage pipeline, a class planner with recurring series and rosters, a gym website builder with your own domain, and a members-only community feed.
- TRAI, the AI assistant, answers questions about members, leads and classes, with 200 requests a month on every gym plan.
- The member app runs in 26 languages, including Arabic and English.
