How much does Trainerize cost in 2026?

Trainerize has a free Basic plan for 1 client, a Grow plan at $10 a month for 2 clients, and Pro plans from $25 a month for 5 clients up to $250 a month for 200 clients. Studio Plus costs $275 a month for 500 clients and Studio Max $380 for 1,000, and annual billing saves about 10%. Nutrition, video coaching, business tools and Stripe payments are paid add-ons on Grow and Pro, so a coach with 30 clients pays $79 for the plan and more once add-ons are switched on.

Checked October 2026 against the Trainerize pricing page. All Trainerize prices below are in US dollars, which is what that page states.

Trainerize plans and prices, tier by tier

ABC Trainerize prices by coaching client seats. Each tier has a fixed number of seats. When you need more, you move up to the next tier; there is no per-client overage fee. These are the figures behind the plan selector on the pricing page:

PlanCoaching clientsMonthly billingAnnual billing (per month)
Basic1FreeFree
Grow2$10$9
Pro 55$25$23
Pro 1515$50$45

Studio Max1,000$380$342

The page FAQ says annual billing saves 10% and annual plans are billed once a year. So the $71 figure for Pro 30 means one payment of $852 up front, not $71 a month.

Look at where the steps are steepest. Going from 15 to 30 clients adds $29 a month. Going from 30 to 50 adds $56. From 50 to 75 adds another $45. If you sit just above a tier edge, say 31 or 51 clients, you pay for the whole next tier.

What counts as a client on Trainerize

Trainerize separates two kinds of seats. Coaching client seats are the ones the tiers count: people you program for. Basic client seats are for people who only book sessions or buy from you. Grow, Pro 5 and Pro 15 include 15 basic client seats, and Pro 30 and above include unlimited basic client seats.

For an in-person trainer who sells session packs to people they do not write programs for, this matters. Those buyers sit in basic seats, so check whether they would push you over 15 on the smaller plans.

The free trial runs 30 days with no credit card. When it ends, the account goes back to the free plan instead of charging you. Add-ons are not part of the trial period, so you will not see the paid nutrition or payment tools during it.

Trainerize add-ons and what they cost

This is the part of the bill that is easy to miss. On Grow and Pro, four features are sold separately:

Add-onPrice per month
Advanced Nutrition Coaching$20 on Grow, Pro 5 and Pro 15; $45 on Pro 30 to Pro 200
Video Coaching$10
Business$25
Stripe Integrated Payments$10 (needed to take client payments in Trainerize)

All four are included on Studio and Enterprise. The nutrition add-on moves the most money: at Pro 30 it is $45 on top of a $79 plan, which is more than half the plan price again.

The Trainerize custom branded app

On Pro plans, Trainerize sells a custom branded app for a $169 one-time fee. You also need your own Apple Developer account, which the Trainerize branded app page lists at $99 a year, charged by Apple. Studio plans include a Studio-level branded app, and Enterprise comes with an app that has its own separate app store listing.

Some third-party comparison sites quote a different one-time fee. Trainerize's own page says $169, so that is the figure used here. For a solo coach, a one-time fee is cheap compared with tools that charge a monthly amount for a branded app.

Payment fees on Trainerize

To collect payments inside Trainerize you add Stripe Integrated Payments at $10 a month (included on Studio and Enterprise). Stripe then takes its own fee on each successful charge. The Trainerize Stripe page points you to Stripe for the rates and does not list an extra Trainerize percentage on top. For US cards, Stripe's standard rate is 2.9% plus 30 cents per successful charge, per Stripe's pricing page.

So the fixed cost of payments on Trainerize is $10 a month, and the variable cost is Stripe's processing on each payment.

What Trainerize costs at 10, 30 and 75 clients

You buy the smallest tier that covers your client count. With 10 clients that is Pro 15, because Pro 5 stops at 5.

ClientsTrainerize tierMonthly billingAnnual billing (per month)Monthly, with nutrition and Stripe add-ons
10Pro 15$50$45$80
30Pro 30$79$71$134
75Pro 75$180$162$235

The last column is the monthly plan price plus the Advanced Nutrition add-on and the $10 Stripe add-on, added up from the published prices. Stripe's per-payment processing comes on top.

Here is how the same three roster sizes look on other coaching tools, on monthly billing and without add-ons:

Tool10 clients30 clients75 clients
Trainerize$50 (Pro 15)$79 (Pro 30)$180 (Pro 75)
Everfit$29 (Pro 10)$75 (Pro 35)$120 (Pro 75)
TrueCoach$69.98 (Standard)$164.98 (Pro)Quote only above 50 clients
Kahunas$35 (Essentials)$69 (Growth)$99 (Ultimate)
Trainera (US prices)$19.99 (Starter)$49.99 (Pro)$99 (Business)

Base prices hide different things. Everfit sells payments and meal plans as add-ons too, TrueCoach charges a flat 5% on payments through its system, and Kahunas includes its branded app only on Ultimate. Our Everfit pricing breakdown, TrueCoach pricing breakdown and Kahunas pricing breakdown go through each one.

Where Trainera fits

Trainera charges a flat price per plan, not per client and not per add-on. In US dollars, as shown on trainera.fit/pricing for the US: Free $0 for 3 clients, Starter $19.99 for 10, Pro $49.99 for 30, Business $99 for 75, and Enterprise on a custom quote with unlimited clients. Prices differ by country (the UK, Australia, Canada and the eurozone see local-currency prices), and yearly billing is about 10 times the monthly price.

Training and nutrition plans are part of every plan, with a library of 1,970+ exercises with video and 1,500+ recipes, so there is no nutrition add-on to budget. Payments are where you should compare carefully. Trainera takes cards, PayPal, bank transfer and cash. Coaching payments that go through Trainera's Stripe or PayPal carry a platform fee by plan: 8% on Free and Starter, 5% on Pro, 3% on Business and 1% on Enterprise. Cash and bank transfer carry 0%. A percentage grows with your revenue, while Trainerize's payments cost is a flat $10 a month plus Stripe's processing, so a coach running a lot of card volume through the app should do that sum both ways.

Trainerize is the better pick in some cases. If you want a branded app on a small budget, Trainerize Pro with the $169 one-time app is cheaper: on Trainera your own store app comes only with Enterprise, while Business gives you your own logo and a website on your own domain. If you run a studio with 500 or 1,000 clients and want every add-on included, Studio Plus and Studio Max are built for that.

If you do switch, Trainera's team moves your clients and plans across for free from your export; see switching to Trainera. For a feature-by-feature view, read our Trainera vs Trainerize comparison.

How to work out your own Trainerize bill

  1. Pick the tier for where you will be in six months, not today. A coach at 14 clients who signs two more lands on Pro 30.
  2. Add nutrition if you write meal plans: $20 on the smaller plans, $45 from Pro 30.
  3. Add $10 for Stripe payments if clients pay you inside the app, then Stripe's fee per charge.
  4. Add the branded app if you want one: $169 once, plus $99 a year to Apple.
  5. Decide on annual billing. It saves about 10%, but you pay the year up front.
  6. Put that total next to two or three alternatives at the same client count. Our list of Trainerize alternatives and the personal trainer software pricing guide have the numbers.

In practice the base tier is rarely the surprise. The surprise is the add-ons switched on one at a time, plus a tier jump after a busy month of sign-ups.
